2020 ZAPATA COUNTY REDISTRICTING

The 2020 United States Census reported that the population for Zapata County dropped to 13,889. Due to an imbalance in population distribution among the four election precincts, Zapata County was required to redraw precinct boundary lines.

The 2020 Zapata County Redistricting map was approved by the Zapata County Commissioners Court on October 25, 2021. 

CHANGES IN PRECINCTS 4 & 2

Registered voters residing in the seven blocks of the Medina Addition subdivision between 20th and 19th Streets and between Falcon and Roma will now vote in Precinct 2.

CHANGES IN PRECINCTS 3 & 1

Registered voters residing south of Mesa Salinas Rd. to Alejandrenas Rd. will now vote in Precinct. 1. This includes Lasso Ln. and Tepozan Rd.
